Bun Bo Hue named among the world’s top 100 best breakfasts
HNN.VN - Alongside bo kho (beef stew) and com tam (broken rice), bun bo Hue (Hue beef noodles) has just been ranked among the 100 best breakfasts in the world for 2025 by the renowned culinary website TasteAtlas.

In this list, bun bo Hue, a famous specialty from Hue, holds the 53rd position. According to TasteAtlas, an authentic bowl of bun bo Hue features a broth simmered from beef and pork bones, combined with lemongrass, fermented shrimp paste, and chili to create a rich and spicy flavor. Common toppings include beef brisket, crab cake, and a variety of fresh herbs. The dish is highly rated for its robust flavor and the harmonious blend of traditional ingredients.
In compiling the “Top 100 Best Breakfasts in the World” list, TasteAtlas recorded 40,849 ratings, of which 23,691 were verified as valid by their system.
Also featured in the list are two other Vietnamese dishes: bo kho ranked 28th, and com tam suon nuong (broken rice with grilled pork), a popular dish in southern Vietnam, ranked 75th.
Previously, bun bo Hue was also one of the Vietnamese culinary delicacies included in the list of “Top 100 best soups in the world”, announced by TasteAtlas.
