To celebrate the 94th anniversary of founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Hue City, and many other significant events of the homeland, the People's Committees of Phu Xuan and Thuan Hoa districts have issued plan No. 959 to organize the first traditional boat race in 2025.

A unique cultural space has just been introduced at Duyet Thi Duong Theater (Hue Imperial Citadel), drawing the attention of the public and tourists: the Exhibition Space for Hue Royal Classical Drama Masks.

On the afternoon of February 28, the “Registration day for Miss Vietnam 2024” took place at Hue University, the beauty pageant is hosted by Hue City.

The “Hue - Mega Booming” music festival will take place at Ngo Mon Square - Hue Imperial Citadel over two nights, April 5th - 6th, 2025 (coinciding with the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day). The event will feature many young singers, with a special highlight being the appearance of the “Anh Trai Say Hi” (Say Hi with Bros) lineup - a well-known reality TV show about music.

Following the approval of the project to build a community-based beach tourism model in Hai Duong Commune, now in Thuan An Ward, Thuan Hoa District, by Hue City People's Council (formerly) in July 2023, the infrastructure in this place is gradually being completed, serving the sightseeing and swimming needs of locals and visitors, contributing to enhancing the economic value of the beach and lagoon.

The 6th “Hue Jogging - Running for the community” event in 2025 took place on the morning of February 16 at Phu Van Lau (Le Duan Street), attracting nearly 6,000 participants. The event featured two distances, including 5km and 10km.

On the evening of February 11th, at No. 1 Phan Boi Chau street, the Full Moon Poetry Night - At Ty Spring 2025 took place, organized by Hue Writers’ Association.

At the time when everything can be ordered online and delivered to your door, in a cozy place by the Huong river (Perfume River), we still gather every year to cook a pot of banh tet and to sing songs to say our farewells to the old year and welcome the new one. (Banh tet is the symbolic food for Tet (the New Year Celebration).

On February 4th (January 7th of the Lunar New Year), the ceremonies of lowering Neu pole and opening the new year seal took place at Trieu Mieu and The Mieu in Hue Imperial Citadel.

In the early days of the new year 2025, the Year of the Snake, many places in the city organized exciting spring activities, including cultural and sports activities, as well as folk games and royal court games, etc.
