Over 1,300 runners participate in the “Thanh Thuy New Day” marathon
HNN.VN - “Thanh Thuy New Day - Connecting the Community” 2025 marathon, organized by Thanh Thuy Ward, took place on the morning of September 2. The activity was held to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and National Day (September 2).

The event attracted more than 1,300 runners of different ages to participate in two distances, including 3.3km and 10 km. During the race, part of the registration fee from receiving BIB numbers was contributed by the organizers to a fund and used to present gifts to poor students right after the event concluded.
On the running route, runners were provided with water, fruit, etc., from the contributions of local organizations, businesses, and individuals, which further enhanced the event’s impact.
According to Mr. Tran Duy Duc, Vice Chairman of Thanh Thuy Ward People’s Committee and Head of the Organizing Committee, although this was the first time being held, “Thanh Thuy New Day - Connecting the Community” marathon received strong support from local people.

“This is not only a sports activity but also a bridge to spread the spirit of mutual support, inspiring a sense of community responsibility in caring for the younger generation. The enthusiastic participation of local residents is a driving force for the ward to continue maintaining and gradually turning the event into an annual activity, contributing to affirming the cultural values and spirit of solidarity of Thanh Thuy,” shared Mr. Tran Duy Duc.
At the end of the event, the organizers presented 22 gifts, each worth 500,000 VND, to disadvantaged students in the area.
