Zeng weaving is a traditional craft that has existed for generations among the ethnic groups in the Western part of Hue City, and is a part of the unique traditional culture of the people there... As life depends on the mountains and forests and is close to nature, each Zeng product is not only a daily item and a spiritual item, but also a work of arts in the spiritual life of the people.

On the morning of January 12, the Standing Committee of the City Youth Union – the Secretariat of the City Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, in collaboration with Hue Central Hospital, Hue University, Red Cross Society, and the Executive Board of Vietnam Buddhist Sangha in the city, organized the 17th “Red Sunday” voluntary blood donation festival in 2025.

“I am always worried that time passes by too quickly while I am too slow to do many things for my children and grandchildren in the future”, elder Hanh expressed his concern upon gazing at Truong Son (Annamite) mountain range in the distance. My hometown Phu Loc was the first place in Vietnam which the French came to reoccupy Hue in early 1947. That was also the place where we started the Hue-Danang campaign in March, 1975.

In September 1969, upon hearing the news of Uncle Ho's death, people of all ethnic groups here set up an altar for Uncle Ho and voluntarily changed their surname to Ho to show their respect to Uncle Ho. More than 50 years since he passed away, that sentiment is still very deep in the minds of the people here.
