Relocation of 1,135 households/3,121 people to safety

HNN.VN - On the morning of November 3, 1,135 households with 3,121 people from 32 communes and wards were relocated to safe areas by the local authorities and functional agencies.

The affected communes and wards include Hoa Chau, An Cuu, Duong No, Phong Thai, Phong Dinh, Kim Tra, Huong Thuy, Quang Dien, A Luoi 5, A Luoi 3, Phu Xuan, Kim Long, Loc An, Khe Tre, Dan Dien, Hung Loc, Thuan Hoa, Huong An, My Thuong, Phong Dien, Thanh Thuy, Binh Dien, Chan May - Lang Co, A Luoi 1, Vinh Loc, Phu Loc, Phu Bai, Thuan An, Phu Vang, Thuy Xuan, and Phu Ho.

In Kim Long Ward, 8 residential groups in the former Huong Tho Commune area are at risk of deep flooding. During the flood from October 27 - 31, 7 out of 8 residential groups, including: Dinh Mon, Kim Ngoc, La Khe Trem, La Khe Bai, Thach Han, Lien Bang, and Hai Cat, were flooded and isolated. The ward relocated 82 households with 332 people to take shelter in high-rise buildings, schools, Huong Tho cooperative, and the former Huong Tho Commune People's Committee headquarters...

 Providing food to people in low-lying areas

During this flood, the ward relocated 10 households with elderly people and children, and is continuing to monitor the water level. The ward leaders assigned forces to notify all people to be proactive and ready to respond to the flood with the “four on-site” motto; people move to higher ground as the water rises.

The Quang Nham Border Guard Station dispatched soldiers to coordinate with local authorities to promote, mobilize, and move 4 households with 16 people in Dien Mai Village, A Luoi 2 Commune, located in areas at high risk of landslides; assisting these households to relocate to safe places.

Currently, in Hue City, 1,075 vessels/7,657 workers have returned to safe shelters; at the same time, functional forces are organizing guidance and inspection to ensure the safety of ships and boats at anchoring areas, wharves, and ports.
