On the occasion of April 30 - May 1 holidays marking Reunification Day and International Workers’ Day, young people in Hue and tourists are drawn to vibrant check-in spots decked out with the colors of the red flag with yellow star, vintage coffee shops, and heritage-rich spaces steeped in local identity. Beyond an opportunity for “checking-in”, these destinations offer a chance for the young to find balance, recharge, and enjoy the holiday in a way that is both reflective and vividly expressive.

On the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026), on April 29, under authorization, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Nguyen Van Manh visited and presented gifts from General Secretary and President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam To Lam to meritorious beneficiaries currently being cared for at Hue City Center for Nursing and Care for People with Meritorious Service.

For many years, the development of waterway tourism has been a consistent goal, as the potential of Hue's rivers remained largely untapped. Following the City People's Committee's announcement of the inland waterway route on the Ngu Ha River, along with the pilot launch of heritage-linked tourism routes using electric boats on the Huong River and its tributaries, the local waterway tourism is expected to be unlocked.

On the morning of April 28th, Hue Central Hospital held a ceremony to introduce the 3.0 Tesla MRI system - SIGNA Pioneer. On April 26, the People’s Committee of Huong An Ward hosted a program titled “Huong An Rural Market” in 2026 under the theme “Mi xu mi som” (First sale of the day). The activity was held to promote local agricultural products, enhance the development of rural tourism, and spread traditional cultural values in the new development era.

On the morning of April 25th, at Dang Van Ngu Secondary School, the Zhi Shan Foundation, in coordination with the People’s Committee of An Cuu Ward, held a ceremony to inaugurate two “friendly libraries” and hand over bookcases to local schools.

Phu Bai Industrial Zone (IZ) is steadily affirming its role as a key growth driver of the locality, making significant contributions to the socio-economic development of Phu Bai Ward and the city as a whole. On April 24, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang had a courtesy meeting with Mr. Franch Bolgiani, Cultural Attaché of the French Embassy in Vietnam, Deputy Director of the French Institute in Hanoi, on the occasion of his delegation’s visit and working trip to Hue City.

On the morning of April 23rd, Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang held a working session with Thanh Thuy Ward on the implementation of tourism and service projects in the area.
