‘Ru Cha - Colors of Autumn’ Photo Contest Launches

Visitors experience the watery landscape amid the Ru Cha mangrove forest in Hoa Chau Ward

The contest is open for entry submissions from September 27 through October 31, 2026. Submitted photographs must be taken at the Ru Cha mangrove forest or depict the landscapes and community life associated with Ru Cha in Hoa Chau Ward. Each photographer may submit up to 5 photographs.

The entries need to focus on 5 themes, including ‘Ru Cha - Colors of Nature’, ‘Ru Cha - People and Community Life’, ‘Ru Cha - Travel Experiences’, ‘Ru Cha - A Green Perspective’, and “Ru Cha - A Story in a Moment’. The photographs are expected to showcase the mangrove forest as its leaves change, as well as the surrounding lagoon landscape, local life, local livelihoods, tourism activities, and efforts to protect the environment.

Entries must consist of single photographs, either in color or black and white, with no restrictions on the equipment used. Photographs may be cropped and have their lighting, color, contrast, and sharpness adjusted to a standard level, but their authenticity must be maintained. The organizing committee will not accept photographs generated by artificial intelligence, images in which AI has been used to create, replace, or add substantial content, or composite images and edits that distort reality. Upon request, photographers must provide the original file for verification and comparison.

The contest offers a total prize of VND 34.5 million in cash, along with certificates, gifts, and vouchers. Winning and outstanding photographs can be selected for exhibition and featured in promotional activities promoting Ru Cha and Hue tourism.
