On the morning of March 26, Vietnam Railways (VNR), in coordination with the City People’s Committee, unveiled the new design of the “Connecting Central Heritage Journey” train and announced Hue Railway Station’s recognition as a tourist destination.

Now in its fifth year, Hue has been hosting the Four Seasons Festival (Spring, Summer, Autumn, Winter). Along with nearly 76,5 million voters nationwide, close to one million voters in Hue City have just joyfully taken part in the Election Day on March 15th, 2026, achieving an outstanding result: 99,99% voter turnout in the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term. Beyond the turnout figure, what stands out is the widespread joy and excitement across all regions, as well as the confidence and hope of people from all walks of life placed in a streamlined government, one with sufficient capability and strength to lead the country into a new era of prosperity, civility, and happiness. The synchronous investment in infrastructure across economic and industrial zones is opening a new development space for Hue, while also enhancing its capacity to attract large-scale projects, and creating a ripple effect for the growth of supporting industries, logistics services, and import-export activities.

Following the Lunar New Year holiday of the Year of the Horse 2026, production activities at businesses across Hue have quickly resumed a new cycle. Production floors are once again bustling, and assembly lines are operating continuously to ensure export delivery schedules, laying the groundwork for the city’s 2026 growth targets.

With systematic, coordinated, and well-organized preparations, Hue City is now ready for the election of the deputies to the 16th National Assembly and members of People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term. Within the framework of the Hue International Art Festival Week 2024, the opening ceremony will be held for the first time at Kien Trung Palace. This is one of the important palaces in the Nguyen Dynasty's system of palaces. The Hue International Art Festival Week 2024 is scheduled to take place from June 7th to 12th.

The arrangement is to celebrate the Vesak 2568. The seven lotus flowers represent the seven first steps taken by the Buddha at his birth. They were first introduced in Huế during the 2008 United Nations Day of Vesak and maintained ever since as a symbol marking the arrival of Vesak.
