On the evening of June 6, at Ngo Mon Square, the Ministry of Public Security solemnly held the opening ceremony of the 2026 People's Public Security Military, Martial Arts and Sports Festival - Region II.

On the evening of June 5th, the Organizing Committee of the 2026 People's Public Security Military, Martial Arts and Sports Festival - Region II held a public exchange and parade program for residents and visitors along major streets in Hue City.

On June 4, the Organizing Committee of the People’s Public Security Military, Martial Arts and Sports Games 2026 - Region II announced that public interaction activities would be held along several central city streets following the preliminary rehearsal and final rehearsal on the evenings of June 4 and June 5.

On the morning of March 5, Hue City held the 2026 military enlistment and handover ceremony at 5 locations across the city. Despite drizzle and unfavorable weather conditions, the events were conducted solemnly, efficiently, and in full compliance with regulations, thanks to thorough preparation, ensuring absolute safety. All young men who had been called up for military service and service in the force of the City People’s Public Security enthusiastically set out to fulfill their sacred duty of defending the Fatherland.

On the morning of January 28, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City, in coordination with the Military Business Association and several military units, including the Department of Finance, Corps 15, and Factory Z113, organized a Tet gift-giving program for policy beneficiary families, poor and near-poor households, and those in difficult circumstances across the city on the occasion of the 2026 Binh Ngo Lunar New Year.

At the heart of the Imperial City of Hue, the 180-year-old Co Mat Vien (Supreme council for military and major state affairs of the Nguyen Dynasty) is gradually being revitalized in a new guise. Formerly the seat of the highest decisions of the Nguyen Dynasty, the space is being shaped into a center for creativity, education, and heritage experiences for the community.

On the afternoon of December 9, in Hue City, the Border Guard Commands of three provinces and cities: Hue, Da Nang, and Quang Ngai (Vietnam), held the 19th annual talks in 2025 with the Military Command of Sekong Province (Lao People's Democratic Republic).

On the afternoon of November 24th, Standing Committee member of the City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee - Mr. Phan Quy Phuong, together with leaders of Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Committee of Hue City, received disaster-relief support from the Military Commercial Joint Stock Bank (MB).
