In this sixth handover, Hue City Military Command transferred 1,065 biological samples.

Thus, the city has now completed the handover of all 3,908 martyrs’ remains samples for DNA identification. The transport and handover process was carried out strictly and carefully, ensuring absolute safety; 100% of the samples handed over met the technical standards required for genetic analysis.

As part of the ‘500 days and nights campaign to search, recover, and identify martyrs’ remains’, sample collection began on May 26 at Phong My Martyrs’ Cemetery (Phong Dien Ward). After nearly three months of effort, the functional forces reviewed 7,282 unidentified graves across all 42 cemeteries across the city, and successfully collected 3,908 biological samples.

Notably, the sample collection effort reached its target on the afternoon of August 13, 6 months ahead of the schedule set by the Military Region 4, and 8 months ahead of the target set by the National Steering Committee.
