On May 4, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, on behalf of the leadership and people of Hue City, sent a letter of appreciation to valued domestic and international visitors who chose Hue as their destination during the Hung Kings' Commemoration Day holiday and the holidays of Reunification Day (April 30) and International Workers' Day (May 1). On the morning of April 28th, Hue Central Hospital held a ceremony to introduce the 3.0 Tesla MRI system - SIGNA Pioneer. Attendees included Mr. Pham Duc Tien, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Council; Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the city People’s Committee, along with representatives of various departments and agencies.

In the atmosphere of commemorating the 51st anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2026), and the 140th anniversary of International Workers' Day (May 1, 1886 - May 1, 2026), on the morning of April 27, Mr. Trinh Van Quyet, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, and Head of the Central Commission for Information, Education and Mass Mobilization, visited and presented gifts to policy beneficiary families, poor households, and households in difficult circumstances in Hue City.

On the afternoon of April 26th, Vietnam Haiku Poetry Club - Hue Ancient Capital branch held a gathering and poetry - music exchange to commemorate the 51st anniversary of National Reunification Day (April 30th, 1975 - April 30th, 2026). The event also included the induction of new members, contributing to the spread of verses associated with April memories and love for the homeland.

On the morning of April 25, Hue City Association of the Blind organized a soft-skills training workshop for students and young members.

On the afternoon of April 23, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, along with representatives from relevant departments and sectors, received and held a working session with a delegation from the Consulate General of the Republic of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City, led by Mr. Alexander Dmitrievich Sidoruk, Consul General.

On the morning of April 15th, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Head of the city’s National Assembly Deputies Delegation, along with a working delegation, inspected the progress of investment and construction of primary and lower secondary boarding inter-level schools (inter-level schools, for short) in A Luoi 3 and A Luoi 4 communes.

Concluding the official visit to provinces in Lao People’s Democratic Republic, on the afternoon of April 12th, a delegation from Hue City led by Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the City People’s Committee, visited, held talks, and extended Bunpimay New Year 2026 greetings in Savannakhet Province. On the side of Savannakhet Province, the delegation was received by Mr. Daovone Xaysoulien, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Government, along with leaders of relevant departments and sectors.

At cultural festivals, exchange events, or student programs in Hue, it is not uncommon to see young people dressed in Japanese attire, moving in synchronized formations to vibrant music. They are members of Mirai Yosakoi Club, a yosakoi dance team comprised of students from the Faculty of Japanese Language & Culture, University of Foreign Languages, Hue University.

On the afternoon of April 9th, a delegation from Hue, led by Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the City People’s Committee, paid a visit, held working sessions, and extended Bunpimay New Year greetings in Salavan Province, Lao PDR.
