Hue Wonderverse Music Fest 2026 - an international heritage and music festival - is proud to be the first intellectual property asset bearing Hue City’s own distinctive brand and cultural identity

Long before the show got underway, crowds of audience members had already filled the roads leading to the stage area facing To Huu St. (Vy Da Ward). As the show drew closer, more and more people poured into the venue, creating a lively festival atmosphere in the heart of Hue’s bustling urban area.

The program officially kicked off at nearly 8 p.m. Attending the program were Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Le Tri Thanh and Permanent Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Hoang Hai Minh.

Centered on the theme ‘Heritage Awakens’, this inaugural music show is envisioned as an annual international festival that bridges cultural heritage with contemporary music, cutting-edge performance technology, tourism, and creative industries.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee and Head of the Organizing Committee of Hue Festival 2026, reaffirmed that Hue is a place where distinctive cultural heritage values have demonstrated enduring vitality and been passed down through generations. In this land, history and art constantly come together, evolve and inspire creativity, giving rise to new and vibrant stories about the former imperial capital.

Therefore, Hue Wonderverse International Music Fest - an international heritage and music festival - is a testament to that vision. “Designed to create a new experiential space where heritage converges with technology and contemporary art, Hue Wonderverse is positioned as an intellectual property asset bearing Hue City’s brand name and an annual event aimed at younger generations, those who will carry forward the journey of preserving, creating, and bringing Hue’s cultural values into the future. It is also envisioned as a strategic driver for the development of the city’s cultural industries and creative economy,” said Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee.

In addition to bringing together a lineup of renowned artists, Hue Wonderverse Music Fest 2026 - an international heritage and music festival - also demonstrated the appeal of an open-air cultural and entertainment event, where music took center stage with the combination of technology, lighting system, and the urban community, reflecting the pulse of contemporary life.

Renowned artists including singers My Tam, HIEUTHUHAI, Phuong My Chi, Hoaprox, and MONO, along with other artists and DJs, took turns in lighting up the crowd with an electrifying mix of emotional and upbeat performances.

Set against a backdrop of contemporary music and enhanced by cutting-edge performance technology, ‘Heritage Awakens’ took audiences on an emotional journey through stories of Vietnam’s culture, history, and people. The stage also offered younger generations a fresh and distinctive way to experience Hue.

Each performance also blended contemporary music with traditional cultural elements. Sound, lighting, LED screens, visual mapping, interactive media, and stage effects came together to create a multisensory artistic experience.

One of the festival’s highlights was the Long Ma (Dragon Horse), the official mascot of Hue Wonderverse Fest. Inspired by the mythical creature in Hue’s cultural heritage, Long Ma was brought to life through visual art and performance technology, becoming an overarching symbol throughout the journey of awakening heritage.

According to the Organizing Committee, in addition to becoming an annual festival, Hue Wonderverse Fest aims to create new cultural and tourism products, boost the night-time economy and creative economy, and expand international cultural exchange.

Following the opening night, the ‘Heritage in Integration’ program will take place on the evening of August 31, expanding the electronic music experience with performances by Vietnamese and international artists, including DJs VinJaz and MESS.
