According to the Center for Investment, Trade and Business Support, Hue City People’s Committee has approved the investment policy for a project to plant large-timber forests combined with growing medicinal herbs under the forest canopy in Binh Dien Commune.

With its strategic geographic location, logistics infrastructure, special policy mechanisms, and commitment to green development, Hue City is positioning itself to attract high-quality investment capital. In an interview with Hue Today Weekly, Mr. Ha Van Tuan, Member of Hue City Party Committee and Vice Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, shared the city's strategic priorities and key solutions for achieving this goal in the future.

On the evening of July 8, Standing Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Hoang Hai Minh had a courtesy meeting with Mr. Kim Joon, General Director of The Energy Consulting Group (South Korea), and other delegation members to discuss cooperation and investment opportunities for a green energy project in Chan May Port.

The second session of the 9th Hue City People's Council for the 2026 - 2031 term is scheduled to take place on July 10th - 11th. The Council is expected to consider and adopt 21 important resolutions, focusing on public investment, finance and state budget, digital transformation, science and technology, social welfare, and policies for public officials and civil servants in the context of implementing the two-tier local government model.

On the morning of June 30, in Hanoi, the Politburo held a national conference to study, disseminate, and realize the Politburo’s Resolution No. 10-NQ/TW dated June 8, 2026, on the development of the foreign-invested economic sector.

On June 23, Party Central Committee Member, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of the City People’s Committee Nguyen Khac Toan chaired a meeting to review and finalize the medium-term public investment plan using state budget capital for the 2026 - 2030 period and assess the implementation and disbursement of public investment funds in 2026.

“Attracting Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) into Hue City for the 2026 - 2030 Period” was the topic of the consultation workshop jointly organized by the Department of Finance and the University of Economics, Hue University on the afternoon of June 22nd. ​

In the process of constructing a digital government, a digital economy, and a digital society, Hue City has gradually established a synchronized and modern digital infrastructure foundation. Nevertheless, realizing the goal of becoming a fully digital city requires not only strong commitment from local authorities but also the active participation of technology enterprises in infrastructure investment, solution deployment, and the sharing of hands-on experience.

On the afternoon of June 13, the Hue City People’s Committee Office announced that, as part of an official visit to Hungary, a delegation from Hue City led by Nguyen Khac Toan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, carried out a working session with the Vietnamese Embassy in Hungary and met with the Vietnamese community and overseas Vietnamese businesses to promote cooperation, attract investment, and expand foreign relations. ​

On June 4, a delegation from Hue City, led by Mr. Tran Huu Thuy Giang, Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee, had a conference to meet with Chinese tourism businesses and investors in Beijing, China. The delegation also had the participation of representatives from Hue City Department of Tourism and Hue Center for Investment Promotion, Trade, and Enterprise Support.
