After a day of lively and intense competition, the 2025 Hue University (HU) Open Chess and Chinese Chess Tournament for students, organized by Hue University Student Association, ended on the afternoon of May 18th.

On May 17th, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, held a Science Café event themed: “Digital transformation and the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in medicine.”

On the afternoon of May 16, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University held a conference on “Developing science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation”.

This statement was emphasized by Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Tung, Architect, (Faculty of Architecture, University of Sciences, Hue University) at the seminar “French Colonial Architecture and the “Western Quarter” in Hue City”, which took place on the afternoon of May 11 at the Hue Book and Cultural Space (No. 23 - 25 Le Loi St., Thuan Hoa District).

On the morning of May 11, in Hue City, Keiser University Vietnam (KUV) - Hue Center organized a cultural and educational event with the theme “Keiser Culture Day - Experience the American Vibe with KUV”.

On the afternoon of May 8, in celebration of the 39th World Thalassemia Day (May 8, 1986 - May 8, 2025), the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center of Hue Central Hospital, in collaboration with the Blue Blouse Club, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy, and benefactors organized an exchange program and presented gifts to Thalassemia patients receiving treatment at the hospital.

The academic exchange activities between the Faculty of Environment, University of Sciences, Hue University, and international students have created many meaningful experiences, spreading the spirit of sustainable development and cultural connection.

On the evening of April 27th, the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University held the final night of La Voix 2025 under the theme “Revel in French Music” and celebrated the 10th anniversary of the French Club of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University.

With more than 25 years of collaboration with Hue Monuments Conservation Center, Prof. Satoh Shigeru, a leading expert in the field of landscape study and urban planning at Institute of Urban and Regional Studies, Waseda University in Japan, has made many interesting discoveries about the mountain-water landscape in Hue. Hue Today Weekly had a meeting and interview with him about his exciting discoveries.

On the afternoon of April 25th, the City Institute for Development Research, in collaboration with the Institute for Digital Transformation and Learning Resources of Hue University, held a conference aiming at promoting Hue’s cultural development and expanding the Hue Bookcase project across university and college libraries in the city.
