On the morning of February 10th (the 23rd day of the twelfth lunar month of the Year of the Snake), under fine weather conditions, Hue Monuments Conservation Center reenacted the ceremony of setting up Neu pole (Thuong Tieu ceremony) in strict accordance with royal court rituals of the Nguyen Dynasty. The activity was part of Hue Festival 2026, attracting large numbers of locals and visitors to observe and experience the event, recreating the atmosphere of the traditional Tet holiday in the former Royal Palace.

​ On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, on February 8th, the Trade Union of Thuan Hoa Ward organized the program “Tet Reunion - Spring in Gratitude to the Party”, featuring many practical activities to support union members and workers so they can welcome the traditional Tet holiday in joy and warmth. Hue Central Hospital also organized the program “Spring Tet Market” for disadvantaged patients currently receiving treatment at the hospital.

From February 7 to 15, 2026 (corresponding to the 20th to 28th days of the Lunar December of the Year of At Ty), the People’s Committee of Hoa Chau Ward will organize the “Hoa Chau Tet Festival” along Bao Vinh Pedestrian Street. The event will feature a wide range of distinctive cultural and community activities, helping to create a lively and joyful atmosphere for residents in celebration of the traditional Tet holiday of Binh Ngo 2026.

On the first day back to work after the 2026 New Year holiday, Hue residents were greeted with encouraging news: during the holiday period, the city was estimated to have welcomed around 85,000 visitors, a 25% increase compared to the same period last year.

Quiet workshop sessions have become a popular destination for many young people during the New Year holiday. These workshops offer not only hands-on experiences in making handicrafts but also moments for young participants to slow down emotionally and freely express themselves through colors that bear their own personal imprint.

According to initial statistics released by the Department of Tourism, during the 2026 New Year holiday, Hue was estimated to welcome around 85,000 visitors, representing an increase of 25% compared to the same period last year. The number of staying guests reached approximately 45,000 arrivals, up more than 15% year on year.

This year’s National Day holiday lasts four days, and many tourists have chosen Hue as their destination to explore, discover, and experience. The lively atmosphere at local attractions and tourist sites has left unforgettable impressions on visitors from near and far.

On the afternoon of August 22nd, information from the Department of Tourism indicated that the number of visitors to Hue during this year’s September 2nd holiday (National Day) is forecast to increase sharply, with an estimated 196,000 arrivals.

This year’s National Day holiday (September 2) lasts four days, providing the perfect opportunity for travelers to plan getaways. According to forecasts from the tourism sector, visitor numbers are expected to rise sharply, with independent travel and short tours emerging as dominant trends.

Often compared to a “land of a thousand pines” in the heart of Hue, the two hills of Thien An and Vong Canh consistently captivate visitors with their poetic, romantic scenery. Already crowded on regular days, during the holidays they attract even more people who come to breathe in the fresh air and immerse themselves in the lush natural surroundings.
