This year, the April 30 - May 1 holiday, falling close to the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day holiday, allows locals and visitors to extend their trips. Alongside Hue Imperial Citadel and royal mausoleums, pagodas, attractions, and traditional craft villages, … are all crowded with visitors. The atmosphere along the city's central streets has also become more vibrant and bustling than usual.

More than just a holiday getaway, Hue at this time has taken on the feel of a grand reunion, a place where visitors come to experience a unique space of culture, cuisine, and lifestyle, both tranquil and captivating.

According to the city’s tourism sector, the two holidays this year have continued to provide strong momentum for tourism, especially domestic tourism, helping Hue record a remarkable surge. The total number of visitors is estimated to exceed one million, with tourism revenue reaching approximately 2.3 trillion VND in just 10 days (April 24 - May 3).

Specifically, during the Hung Kings’ Commemoration Day holiday (April 24 - April 28), Hue welcomed an estimated 395,000 visitors (including 98,700 international arrivals), generating around 958 billion VND in tourism revenue. Even more encouraging, in 5 days, from April 29 to May 3, the city is expected to attract about 610,000 visitors, up 73.7% year-on-year. International arrivals are estimated at 164,000, marking a 129% increase compared to the same period last year. Tourism revenue is projected at 1.35 trillion VND, up 85% year-on-year, while the average room occupancy rate is expected to reach 99%.
