In the journey to brand itself as “Hue - a heritage city, a green, attractive, and high - end destination” on the global tourism map, Hue is boosting its promotional efforts, particularly by spreading the beauty of its landscapes, culture, and people through international media channels.

Hue City is promoting green transportation through practical solutions, including electric buses, public bicycles, charging stations, smart parking lots, and applications that support residents in changing their travel habits. This approach aligns with urban characteristics, laying the foundation for a city with low-emission, sustainable, and livable in.

Aiming to create a clean, friendly tourism environment for the health of the community, efforts to prevent and control the harmful effects of tobacco at accommodation facilities, hotels, and resorts in Hue City have recently been strengthened and effectively implemented. Many hotels not only strictly comply with legal regulations but have also creatively developed smoke-free models in alignment with green and sustainable tourism development.

With the motto “Sow an action, reap a habit; sow a habit, reap a character,” the “Green Sunday” movement has been brought to life by the youth of Hue City through practical, community-oriented models and activities, aiming to engage and unite people from all walks of life.

During her trip to Hue, Ms. Sandrine, a French tourist, and her group were amazed by how green the city was. With admiration, she asked: “What has enabled Hue to balance economic development with heritage and natural resource preservation?”

On the morning of April 19, a special event titled “Hue - Pioneer in Green Heritage Tourism Development and Bicycle City" took place at the Noon Gate Square - Hue Imperial Citadel. The event was jointly organized by Hue Monuments Conservation Center, Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC), and representatives of the GCOO brand in Vietnam – VietPM.

On April 19th, a special event titled “Hue – Developing green heritage tourism and a bicycle city” will take place at Ngo Mon Square – Hue Imperial Citadel. The event is jointly organized by Hue Monuments Conservation Center, VietPM (representative of GCOO brand in Vietnam), and Vietnam Green Building Council (VGBC).

At the 7th Ancient Capital Literature and Arts Awards, musician Le Quang Vu (born in 1968) with his Symphony Poetry “Green City along the Perfume River” won the A prize in the music category. That being said, he is also known by the musicians in particular and music lovers in general as the “conductor” of Hue Brass Orchestra.

On the afternoon of September 4th, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, held a meeting with the leaders of Viet Personal Mobility Co., Ltd. (PM). The discussion centered on green transportation and the "Clean & Green Smart Hue City" project.

Starting a new day with a fresh and cheerful spirit will help us feel energized throughout the day. Hue, a peaceful city, with increasingly expanding public spaces, which are safe, green, clean, and beautiful. These spaces also increasingly attract residents and visitors in the city to start their new days, with open, connecting, and friendly activities.
