On the morning of July 28, the project “Hue - A City to Reduce Plastics in Central Vietnam”, funded by the World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF) - Norway (through the WWF - Vietnam), received by Hue City People's Committee, in collaboration with the Provincial Department of Tourism, organized the inauguration of 5 waiting lounges and free water stations at tourist destinations, including: Thien Mu Pagoda, Bao Vinh Ancient Town, Ban Nguyet Bridge - Me Wharf, Vong Canh Hill, and Sinh Village wrestling area (Hue City).

In addition to their primary function of displaying artifacts, many museums and cultural-artistic spaces also fulfill another important role: organizing events for exchange, conversation, and discussion on related issues. These spaces have become destinations that creates connections between researchers, cultural experts, and enthusiasts.

Organizing music programs to raise funds for charity, students from Hue University have partially helped pediatric patients and underprivileged children find motivation to rise in life.

On the morning of June 7th, at Hue Children Hall, the Biodiversity Conservation component, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in collaboration with the World Wide Fund for Nature in Vietnam (WWF-Vietnam), Helvetas, and the Forest Protection Department, organized the opening ceremony of the “For the sustainable life of nature and people” exhibition. This event is part of the “Sustainable Forest management and Biodiversity conservation” (VFBC) project.

Such is the message of Hue Plogging 2024 event held at Thuan An beach on June 2nd. The event was organized by Hue - A City to Reduce Plastics in Central Vietnam project, funded by WWF-Norway (through the World Wide Fund for Nature in Vietnam, WWF-Vietnam, and received by the People's Committee of Hue City), in collaboration with Hue Urban Environment and Public Works Joint Stock Company (HEPCO). Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Standing Member of the Provincial Party Committee and Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee, attended the event.

The Provincial People's Committee has recently issued Decision No. 950/QĐ-UBND, granting a license to establish and recognize the charter of the Hue Bookcase Development Fund, aiming to create a stable source of funding for publishing activities to build and develop the Hue Bookcase.

On the afternoon of May 7, the Provincial Study Promotion Association coordinated with the Nguyen Chi Thanh Talent Promotion Scholarship Fund and the Department of Education and Training to organize an awarding ceremony to students who won high prizes in the national excellent student competition in the academic year of 2023 - 2024. Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Phan Ngoc Tho attended the ceremony.

As a meaningful highlight to attract tourists and people during the holidays of April 30 and May 1, the space to experience cuisine, poetry, and Ao Dai within the framework of Hue Traditional Cuisine Week 2024 at Thuong Bac Park takes place from April 27 to May 1, providing a place to have fun, experience, and enjoy regional cuisine throughout the country, creating a vibrant and bustling atmosphere for the long holiday.

Phuoc Tich ancient village is surrounded by the O Lau river in Phong Hoa Commune, (Phong Dien District), which is 40km north of Hue City. The village was founded in 1470, during the reign of Le Thanh Tong. With its poetic scenery, valuable architecture of ruong houses and garden houses, and unique cultural institutions, etc., the village was recognized as a national relic in 2009. Currently, the functional agencies are preparing a dossier to propose the village to be recognized as a special national relic.

The Hue Monument Conservation Centre (HMCC) has recently unveiled the Hue Heritage Conservation Fund (HHCF) website - quydisanhue.vn. The HHCF website serves as a platform providing comprehensive, complete and centralized information about the fund, while also being a public and sole address on the internet for calling and receiving support from individuals and organizations for the HHCF.
