CNN, an US news outlet, has recently reported an increasing number of social media posts sharing tips on how to order a drink originally from Vietnam at a major American coffee chain. This sought-after beverage is salt coffee.

On June 22nd, an impressive assembly of over 150 artifacts, curated from the esteemed collections of 29 antique collectors spanning the North, Central, and South regions of Vietnam, will be showcased at the “Antiques Gathering” exhibition held in the historic Kien Trung Palace, Hue Imperial Citadel.

At the invitation of the Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan to attend the International Gold Embroidery and Jewelry Festival, taking place from May 3 - 5 in Bukhara City, Ms. Nguyen Thi Doan Trang, artisan, designer, and Director of Doan Trang Embroidery and Sewing Trading and Service Co., Ltd. (at 2/56 Bach Dang Street, Gia Hoi Ward, Hue City), was honored to be the Vietnamese representative winning the third prize.

What was initially planned as a 3-month journey by Dr. Hattori Tadashi in 2002 eventually extended to over 20 years, taking away much from him but bringing light to over 60,000 people in Vietnam. He didn't take any salary, even using his own pocket money to cover expenses for financially-struggling patients and to support some Vietnamese hospitals with ophthalmic medical equipment.

From Vietnam - Sweden Hospital in Uong Bi, Quang Ninh, 3 donated organs were transported to Hue and transplanted into 3 patients on April 2nd. On the afternoon of April 3, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong hosted a courtesy reception for the US Ambassador to Vietnam, H.E. Marc E. Knapper. The courtesy reception was also attended by the representatives of leaders from relevant departments and branches.
