Within the framework of Hue International Art Festival Week 2024, on the afternoon of June 6, the Hue Monuments Conservation Center in collaboration with People's Artist Tran Do organized the opening of the exhibition "Dragon Symbol through Tran Do’s Pottery. The exhibition is displayed in the ancient, splendid space of Kien Trung Palace in Hue Imperial Citadel.

Within the framework of an agreement in the project “Hue - A City to Reduce Plastics in Central Vietnam” to “Practicing plastic reduction in the tourism sector", contributing to turning Hue into a plastic-reducing urban area by 2024, Thua Thien Hue Tourism Association on February 28 held a ceremony to announce the action plan to reduce plastic waste of seven units in doing hotel business in Hue City, including Villa Hue, Azerai La Résidence Hue, Melia Vinpearl Hue, EMM Hue, Muong Thanh Hue, Alba Spa Hue, and Thanh Lich.

On the morning of January 30th, the Organizing Committee of the “Tet Hue 2024” program held a press conference to provide information about the purpose, significance, and some activities within the framework of the Tet Hue 2024 program. The conference was attended by city leaders, departments, and journalists from central and local press agencies.

On the evening of January 26th, 2024, the award ceremony for the ASEAN Clean Tourist City took place in Vientiane, the capital of Laos. Hue City, being one of three cities representing Vietnam, proudly received this prestigious award. This is an award within the framework of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF) held from January 22nd to 27th. The delegation from Hue City, led by the Chairman of the People's Committee of Hue City, Vo Le Nhat, attended the award ceremony and participated in various activities of the forum.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phuc, Director of the Provincial Department of Tourism, said that on the evening of January 26, within the framework of the ASEAN Tourism Forum (ATF), there was an award ceremony for the ASEAN Clean Tourist City Awards, taking place in Vientiane, Laos. The three cities representing Vietnam have been awarded (which will be effected from 2024 to 2026) namely: Hue (Thua Thien Hue Province), Vung Tau (Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province), and Quy Nhon (Binh Dinh Province).

Within the framework of Hue Festival 2023, the Winter Festival "Winter in Hue" takes place from October to December with a number of new festival activities that brings more vibrance and attraction to the winter atmosphere of Hue for both local people and tourists.
