The University of Foreign Languages, Hue University identifies international cooperation as a strategic direction to enhance the quality of foreign language training and develop high-quality human resources.

On April 18, the University of Foreign Languages, Hue University (HUFLIS) held its 2026 Job Fair.

At cultural festivals, exchange events, or student programs in Hue, it is not uncommon to see young people dressed in Japanese attire, moving in synchronized formations to vibrant music. They are members of Mirai Yosakoi Club, a yosakoi dance team comprised of students from the Faculty of Japanese Language & Culture, University of Foreign Languages, Hue University.

On March 28, the University of Foreign Languages, Hue University hosted the Korean Language and Culture Festival 2026 in Central Vietnam - a gathering for Korean language training institutions across the region.

Ask the people of Hue what flower they love most, and most will likely answer: the apricot blossom. To put it more formally, “hoang mai” - yellow apricot, without a doubt. Don’t believe it? Come to Hue and see for yourself! There’s a whole movement called “Yellow apricot blossom in front of the entrance”; a completed research project on “Conservation and development of Hue’s yellow apricot variety (Hue’s Hoang mai)”; a scientific conference on developing Hue’s Hoang mai into a key local product, aimed at successfully realizing the project to build Thua Thien Hue province (now Hue City) into Vietnam’s yellow apricot homeland. My friend, journalist Minh Tu, even published a book called “In front of the house stands a yellow apricot tree”, which sold out instantly, was reprinted, and translated into foreign languages to great acclaim.

On the morning of January 5, the University of Foreign Languages, Hue University, held its third 2025 graduation ceremony, awarding degrees to new PhD, master’s, and bachelor’s graduates.

On September 27th, the 11th International Conference on Interdisciplinary Research in Linguistics and Language Education took place at the University of Foreign Languages, Hue University. The event was jointly organized by the University of Foreign Languages, Hue University, James Madison University (USA), Guangxi Normal University (China), and Buriram Rajabhat University (Thailand).

New students admitted to majors of the University of Foreign Languages and International Studies, Hue University (HUFLIS), have officially begun enrollment.

On the afternoon of July 13th, the University of Foreign Languages, Hue University, held a graduation ceremony for students of the two full-time programs that spanned the academic years 2022-2025: in-service English Language Teacher Education (ELTE); and the second-degree in English studies for students of cohort 18.

On the morning of April 22, the University of Foreign Languages and International Studies, Hue University (HUFLIS), launched and introduced the Bachelor’s program in American Studies at the HUFLIS.
