On the morning of December 9, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired an online conference to hear reports on the progress of Quang Trung Campaign - an accelerated drive to rebuild and repair homes for families whose houses were collapsed, swept away, or severely damaged during the recent storms and floods.

Following Directive No. 234 dated November 30th, 2025, issued by the Prime Minister on launching and implementing “Quang Trung Campaign” to urgently rebuild and repair homes for the families whose houses were damaged during recent natural disasters in the central provinces, on the morning of December 6th, at Khe Tre Commune, Hue City People’s Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony to begin the construction of new homes for residents whose houses had collapsed or been severely damaged.

On the morning of December 2nd, the Department of Overseas Labor Management, the Center for Overseas Labor, and the Overseas Employment Support Fund (Ministry of Home Affairs), in coordination with the Department of Home Affairs, organized a training session to enhance the capacity of officials and communicators responsible for introducing, mobilizing, and advising workers (laborers) as well as their families on overseas employment under contract.

On the morning of November 24, Vietnam Women’s Union, in coordination with the Tobacco Harm Prevention and Control Fund and Hue City Women’s Union, organized a launching ceremony for the 2025 campaign promoting the role of families in preventing and controlling the harmful effects of tobacco, along with a training session on building “Healthy, Smoke-Free Families".

On the morning of November 14, Hue Central Hospital organized a meeting for the Diabetes Patient Club in response to World Diabetes Day. The program attracted nearly 250 patients and their families, bringing many practical activities to help them raise awareness about this increasingly prevalent disease.

During these historic days of flooding, the doctors and medical staff at Hue Psychiatric Hospital have been “as tense as a guitar string,” both physically and mentally, to ensure the safety of patients and their families.

Over the past few days, people from villages across Dan Dien Commune have been encouraging one another to visit the floating fish farms along the Bo River to buy fish in support of local farmers. Some families bought a few fish, others only one, but everyone said the same thing: “It’s just our way of sharing a little of their hardship”. That’s all they could do, as the recent floods had wiped out tens of tons of fish raised by families living along the Bo River.

October 11 is recognized by the United Nations as the International Day of the Girl Child, a day to honor the value and affirm the role of girls in families and society, while calling on communities to act for the safety, equality, and holistic development of girls worldwide. In Hue City, the health sector has organized many practical activities to help raise awareness and enhance the status of girls in modern life.

Having professional skills and a stable job is the dream of many young people from disadvantaged families. Through free vocational training courses linked to market needs, REACH Hue Center has accompanied them from vocational classes to the doorway of employment.

By the end of July 2025, Hue City no longer has any dilapidated, ramshackle houses. In their place now, stand new, solid houses - turning many families’ dream of stable housing into reality.
