On the afternoon of November 2, a working delegation from the Ministry of Health, led by Deputy Minister Do Xuan Tuyen, Standing Deputy Head of the Civil Defense Steering Committee of the Ministry of Health, visited and worked with Hue Central Hospital to inspect the hospital’s efforts in responding and overcoming the aftermath of the floods.

On Facebook, amid the flood of news and images of inundation, among the urgent rescue and relief efforts by authorities and functional forces, I came across an image that warmed my heart: hot meals being packed and prepared for their journey from the area of fomer Phu Thuan to Hue Central Hospital, to be given to hungry patients trapped by the floods.

On the afternoon of October 30, Comrade Tran Cam Tu, Politburo member and Permanent Member of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee’s Secretariat, visited and inspected the flood situation and post-flood recovery efforts in Hue City.

On the afternoon of October 30, Deputy Secretary of Hue City Party Committee, Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Chi Tai, together with Standing Committee member and Chairwoman of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hue City Nguyen Thi Ai Van, received donations from agencies, units, businesses, and organizations to support the city’s recovery efforts following recent floods.

On the evening of October 28, Mr. Tran Hong Ha, Deputy Prime Minister, Standing Deputy Head of the National Steering Committee for Civil Defence, inspected and worked with Hue City on responding to the particularly large flood event occurring in the area.

Against the challenges caused by natural disasters, climate change, and human impact, Hue is making great efforts to implement both structural and non-structural solutions, combining technology to build itself into a heritage, green, and smart city.

On September 30, a working delegation from Hue City People's Committee, led by Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the City People's Committee, along with Mr. Hoang Hai Minh, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, inspected the erosion situation along the Bo River, the O Lau River, and the restoration efforts following the aftermath of Typhoon No. 10 in several localities.

On the afternoon of September 28th, Mr. Tran Hong Ha, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister, and Standing Deputy Head of the National Civil Defense Steering Committee, chaired an online meeting with the Forward Command and the provinces and cities expected to be in the path of Storm No. 10 (Bualoi).

At the end of August 2025, Hue Central Hospital organized the first “Proton Therapy in Vietnam” workshop. This event is considered an important step toward realizing the plan to build three proton therapy centers at three institutions: K Hospital (Hanoi), Hue Central Hospital, and Cho Ray Hospital (Ho Chi Minh City).

In the journey to brand itself as “Hue - a heritage city, a green, attractive, and high - end destination” on the global tourism map, Hue is boosting its promotional efforts, particularly by spreading the beauty of its landscapes, culture, and people through international media channels.
