The Tam Giang - Cau Hai lagoon system of Hue City stretches in the Northwest - Southeast direction along the coast, with a length of 68 km and a total surface area of 216 km². It comprises three interconnected lagoons: Tam Giang, Thuy Tu, and Cau Hai. With aquatic flora and fauna considered among the richest in Southeast Asia, this ecosystem has sustained generations of local residents.

On September 2nd, the Economic Security Division of Hue City Police reported that it had returned a lost mobile phone to Ms. Mii Uchino (born in 1999, Japanese nationality, a student at University of Tsukuba currently attending a seminar at Hue University).

The Chan May-Lang Co Economic Zone (CM-LC) has become an economic growth pole in Hue City. On the afternoon of July 31, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong held a working session with the leaders of Kim Long Motor Hue Joint Stock Company regarding the progress of the Automobile Manufacturing and Assembly Complex Project in the Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone, and discussed plans for investment expansion.

This is considered an important legal basis to implement sub-zone planning projects, urban embellishment, and attracting strategic investment, gradually transforming the economic zone into the southern development hub of Hue City.

During her trip to Hue, Ms. Sandrine, a French tourist, and her group were amazed by how green the city was. With admiration, she asked: “What has enabled Hue to balance economic development with heritage and natural resource preservation?”

According to the report of 2024 Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) released by Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) recently, Hue City made a strong impression by entering the top 10 localities with the best economic governance quality in the country, scoring a total of 71.13 points, ranking 6th out of 63 provinces and cities.
