On September 26th - 27th, the 2025 National Scientific Conference on Anesthesiology and Resuscitation (A&R) took place in Hue City, co-organized by Vietnam Society of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, Hue City Department of Health, Hue Central Hospital, and the Hospital of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy. The event brought together more than 1.000 doctors, specialists, scientists, postgraduate students from Vietnam and abroad, along with representatives of healthcare enterprises.

On the afternoon of July 21, Hue Central Hospital held a special discharge ceremony for four pediatric patients who had successfully undergone bone marrow transplants. Among them, three children with Thalassemia received allogeneic transplants, and one underwent the hospital’s 50th autologous transplant. This event not only marks a major advancement in medical expertise but also serves as vivid evidence of the tireless efforts of doctors and medical staff to provide better survival chances and quality of life for children with serious illnesses.

On July 9, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy held a graduation ceremony for nearly 1,300 formal doctors, pharmacists, and bachelor’s degree holders from the academic year of 2025.

On the afternoon of July 4th, the University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University (HUAF) held a graduation ceremony and awarded degrees to PhD, Master's, Engineering, Bachelor's, and Veterinary Medicine graduates.

From June 23rd to 27th, 2025 Reconstructive Surgery Week at Hue Odonto-Stomatology Hospital, co-organized with ReSurge International (USA), officially concluded, leaving a significant professional impact. The event not only successfully carried out 10 surgeries but also contributed to the training and technology transfer for dozens of Vietnamese doctors and medical staff.

From June 11 to 13, Hue Central Hospital, in collaboration with the French-Vietnamese Respiratory Association (AFVP), organized an advanced training course on sleep disorders. The program aimed to update and enhance knowledge of sleep disorders for doctors and nurses from healthcare facilities across the country.

For the past 10 years, Professor Dung Nguyen (Stanford University, US) has partnered in humanitarian plastic and aesthetic surgery programs with hospitals in Hue City, Vietnam. She has also made significant contributions to training, teaching, and transferring reconstructive, aesthetic, and microsurgery techniques to doctors across the country.

On March 12, Hue Central Hospital announced that the 15th patient to receive a heart transplant across Vietnam has recovered. This was a complex transplant case, making the surgical procedure and post-operative care quite challenging for the doctors and medical staff.

Developing high-tech techniques is an important factor in attracting patients for medical examinations and treatments while also building a strong reputation for medical centers.

On February 25th, Hue Central Hospital (HCH) held a ceremony to commemorate the 70th anniversary of Vietnam Doctors’ Day.
