Being well-known as the most beautiful and dangerous pass in Vietnam, Hai Van Pass is located on the border between Thua Thien Hue Province and Da Nang City.

Hai Van Gate is known as "world’s most majestic gate", located at an altitude of nearly 500m right at the top of Hai Van Pass. Once served as the military defense for the Hue Citadel, this defensive cluster was built under the Nguyen Dynasty in such a critical position to control the North-South road and Da Nang Bay.

“Nắng lên rồi cơn nắng tháng Ba. Thắm đỏ lưng trời...” (“The sun is up and it's the March sunshine. It reddens the sky ...”) - it seems that there is hardly any color of sunshine that can be brighter than the one in the days celebrating Hue's liberation, covering the streets from Truong Tien to Dong Ba, from Da Vien to Hen islets.

This was the desire of the Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong announced in the courtesy meeting held on the afternoon of February 16 with the newly-accredited Consul General of South Korea in Da Nang - Kang Boo Sung.
