Promoting and introducing Hue - Da Nang - Quang Nam tourism in Malaysia

HNN.VN - On October 23, three provinces and city, including: Quang Nam, Da Nang, and Thua Thien Hue, coordinated with the Malaysia - Vietnam Friendship Association to organize a tourism introduction program at the World Trade Center Kuala Lumpur (WTCKL), Malaysia.

The program was attended by Chargé d'affaires of the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia Nguyen Thi Ngoc Anh; and Director of Tourism Malaysia – International Promotion Division (ASEAN) Mohd Shahrir Mohd Ali.

At the event, the tourism industry of the three localities organized activities, including: introducing destinations, updating information, new tourism products and tourism services of businesses to partners in Malaysia; screening movies, displaying images of culture, tourism, and OCOP products from Quang Nam, Da Nang, and Thua Thien Hue. Besides, Business To Business (B2B) space was organized for tourism businesses to access, exchange, introduce information, offer and sell tourism products and services as well as signing agreements on cooperation and market development with partners; and signing a memorandum of understanding on communication cooperation and tourism promotion between the Tourism Promotion Centers of the three provinces and city and the Malaysia - Vietnam Friendship Association.

Accompanying with the Departments of Tourism, the Departments of Culture - Sports and Tourism, and the Tourism Associations of the three provinces and city in this event were 22 tourism units and businesses. From the Malaysian side, there was the participation of more than 120 businesses, in which, the businesses introduced new products and promotional programs and vouchers for the Malaysian market.

In addition to the tourism introduction program of Quang Nam, Da Nang, and Thua Thien Hue in Malaysia, three localities from the Central of Vietnam have also attended the ITB ASIA International Tourism Fair, which is being held at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore from October 25 - 27, 2023. After this event, the provinces and city hope that visitors from Malaysia, Singapore and the ASEAN region, as well as other transition markets, will bounce back and be among key international visitor markets to these localities in the coming time.
