During the first two days of the National Day holiday (September 2nd), Hue Ancient Capital welcomed thousands of tourist arrivals. Currently, tourist destinations in Thua Thien Hue, especially the relics belonging to the Complex of Hue Monuments, continue to be bustling with visitors.

Following the success of four previous events, attracting a large number of residents and tourists, Hue City continues with the 5th edition of the “Hue Jogging – Running for the community” program in 2024, themed “Always New Hue.”

Exciting news for many new students at Hue University is this year, Hue University continues to offer preferential policies on tuition fee waivers, reductions, and scholarships for candidates with excellent results in the 2024 university entrance exams.

Once again, the legendary Perfume River continues to be the highlight and main space of the Hue International Arts Festival Week 2024, with the theme "Cultural heritage with integration and development".

Hue Monuments Conservation Center recently had a working session with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Thi Ha Duong, managing director of the Vingroup Innovation Foundation – VinIF, to discuss the implementation process of the project “Restoring, training and teaching Hue tuong mask painting art - a traditional art form at high risk of being lost”. The project is built by Hue Monuments Conservation Center and sponsored by the VinIF.

As a ‘symphony’ of Hue urban planning, the Perfume River has carried on its historical mission of adorning the elegance of Hue, and is now being preserved. The river will continue to flow in the future, and preserving the Perfume River, therefore, is like preserving the ‘backbone’ of Hue urban area.

Along with six typical dishes of Hue that have been honored, many other dishes from the localities in Thua Thien Hue could continue to make it into the top "1,000 typical Vietnamese culinary dishes" and contribute to promoting the Vietnamese brand globally through culinary culture.

One rainy day in Hue, I received an elaborate and impressive design for artist Dang Mau Tuu’s upcoming painting exhibition in Hanoi. It is surprising because he recently had an exhibition “Aotearoa - a region of white clouds” at Hue Museum of Fine Arts in June 2023, after he had just returned from New Zealand. Four months later, he continued with his own exhibition titled “Specks of dust in life” in Hanoi with 20 works painted on acrylic. This is Dang Mau Tuu’s first solo exhibition in Hanoi.

There have appeared many young wrestlers promising to continue the glory of seniors Nguyen Thi My Hanh and Nguyen Thi My Trang. That is viewed as a very heartening signal of Thua Thien Hue wrestling.

Not only serving the transportation industry, Hue Railway Station - a work built during the French period - is considered one of the iconic architectural heritage in the heart of Hue urban area. Having gone through many ups and downs, this station now still continues to witness the development of the land.
