On the morning of February 10th (the 23rd day of the twelfth lunar month of the Year of the Snake), under fine weather conditions, Hue Monuments Conservation Center reenacted the ceremony of setting up Neu pole (Thuong Tieu ceremony) in strict accordance with royal court rituals of the Nguyen Dynasty. The activity was part of Hue Festival 2026, attracting large numbers of locals and visitors to observe and experience the event, recreating the atmosphere of the traditional Tet holiday in the former Royal Palace.

On the evening of February 6, at the area in front of the Imperial Academy, Ham Nghi Square, and along 23 Thang 8 (August 23) Street in Phu Xuan Ward, Phu Xuan Ward People’s Committee held the opening ceremony of the “Phu Xuan Tet - Colors and Flavors of the Ancient Capital” program, attracting a large number of residents and visitors.

On January 17, the counseling booth of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, at the 2026 Admissions and Career Counseling Fair, drew significant attention from a large number of high school students across Hue City and surrounding areas.

The year 2026 opens the 2026–2030 period, marked by increasingly fierce competition to attract resources, talent, and visitors, while Hue cannot pursue rapid urbanization or heavy industry. Hue’s path must be its own: taking heritage, culture, landscape, and ways of life as deep, distinctive, and sustainable advantages; taking creativity and experience as driving forces; and placing the people of Hue at the center of all development policies.

On the afternoon of January 2, the show “Humorous Startup Journey” was held with the startup expert Tran Thanh Tung, who is also known as Tung BT at Hue Books and Culture Space. On the morning of January 1st, in the warm sunshine on the first morning of the new year, the area around Ngo Mon Gate of Hue Imperial Citadel became lively as the Nguyen Dynasty Ban Soc ceremony was reenacted in a theatricalized format, officially opening Hue Festival 2026. The event also marked the first festival of the year, attracting a large number of local residents and visitors.

On the evening of December 27th, at the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, the Guitar Club of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University organized “CUON” music show, attracting the attention of a large number of students and music enthusiasts.

On the evening of December 21, as part of the closing event of the National Tourism Year - Hue 2025, Ngo Mon Square - Hue Imperial Citadel transformed into a “high-energy hotspot” of music as the Mega Booming Day 2 attracted thousands of spectators and young people, who immersed themselves in the enthusiastic atmosphere of Hue Mega Concert.

Held for the first time in Hue City, the International Tea Festival - Hue 2025 (taking place from December 10th to 12th) not only contributes to honoring Vietnamese tea culture but also is expected to serve as an important starting point, laying the foundation for the formation of a profound cultural, artistic, and tourism-oriented annual event, helping enrich Hue’s identity and enhance its attractiveness.

On the afternoon of December 10, Hue City Fine Arts Association, in collaboration with the University of Arts, Hue University, organized the opening ceremony of the Fine Arts Exhibition celebrating the 74th anniversary of Vietnam Fine Arts Traditional Day (December 10, 1951 - December 10, 2025). The event attracted the participation of many artists and students.
