In addition to other potential markets, the tourism sector of the ancient capital is intensifying efforts in promotion, branding, and positioning Hue in European countries. Through a variety of unique programs and activities, Hue’s tourism industry hopes to see strong growth in visitor numbers from this key market in the near future.

From sightseeing trips and cultural experiences in Hue, many visitors have come to love this land.

Hue, a central region with harsh weather. The summer sun burns the skin, and the rainy season brings constant flooding, making it very difficult to grow flowers. Yet, Hue has changed a lot. On May 22nd, during his working visit to Vietnam, Director of the UNESCO World Heritage Center, Lazare Eloundou Assomo, toured several heritage sites in Hue including the Imperial Citadel, the Museum of Royal Antiquities, and An Dinh Palace to conduct a field survey and learn about the management, conservation and promotion of World Cultural Heritage values ​​in the locality.

Data compiled from the Google Destination Insights travel trend tracker reveals that Vietnam has the 7th highest destination growth rate globally. Notably, Hue is among the top 10 most searched cities in Vietnam by international visitors.

Often compared to a “land of a thousand pines” in the heart of Hue, the two hills of Thien An and Vong Canh consistently captivate visitors with their poetic, romantic scenery. Already crowded on regular days, during the holidays they attract even more people who come to breathe in the fresh air and immerse themselves in the lush natural surroundings.

On the afternoon of May 4th, Department of Tourism reported that the total number of visitors to Hue City during the April 30th - May 1st holiday saw a sharp increase, estimated at 351.000 arrivals over the 5-day period from April 30th to May 4th.

Taking place in the space at the Hue Imperial Citadel, the exhibition of bonsais, orchids, and ornamental stones from the three regions attracted thousands of visitors. The event also honored 104 most excellent works from the three regions all over the country.
