In Vietnam, gastric and colorectal cancers are among the most common cancers. Alarmingly, most patients are diagnosed at a late stage, which leads to poor prognosis and a much lower five-year survival rate compared with cases detected early.

With special scale, character, and significance, the series of activities under “Vietnam - Republic of Korea Cultural Day 2025” held in Hue on September 27 - 28 attracted a great number of locals, domestic and international tourists, as well as international friends.

On the evening of September 27, Hue City People's Committee, in coordination with the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Vietnam, organized the “Vietnam - Republic of Korea Cultural Day 2025” event at the building located at 23 - 25 Le Loi Street, Nguyen Dinh Chieu walking street, and the ironwood bridge on the bank of the Huong River.

On September 26th - 27th, the 2025 National Scientific Conference on Anesthesiology and Resuscitation (A&R) took place in Hue City, co-organized by Vietnam Society of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation, Hue City Department of Health, Hue Central Hospital, and the Hospital of Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy. The event brought together more than 1.000 doctors, specialists, scientists, postgraduate students from Vietnam and abroad, along with representatives of healthcare enterprises.

The working session between Hue City leaders and the Korean delegation affirmed both sides’ commitment to strengthening comprehensive cooperation, contributing to the sustainable development of Vietnam - Korea friendship.

On September 25, the “Hue - A plastic-reduced smart city in Central Vietnam” project (TVA project), in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, held a workshop to evaluate the waste sorting at source program in Hue City. On the afternoon of September 24, the University of Arts, Hue University, held the opening ceremony of the 2025 International Fine Arts Exhibition themed “Cultural heritage in contemporary art practice”. The event is part of the 2025 International Workshop and Exhibition program, bringing together artists from Japan, the Republic of Korea, Thailand, Laos, and Vietnam.
