On the evening of August 30, thousands of audience members packed the stage area at Hue City’s Culture and Sports Square, immersing themselves in the vibrant atmosphere of Hue Wonderverse Music Fest 2026 - an international heritage and music festival featuring a lineup of renowned singers.

As the five-day National Day holiday approaches, featuring a vibrant lineup of cultural, artistic, sports, and experiential activities, Hue is expected to welcome over 500,000 tourist arrivals.

By day, they are music teachers, bakers, or bartenders; by night, they become singers and musicians on small stages of coffee shops and community music nights. It is this very passion that helps many young people in Hue keep the flame of music alive, contributing to an accessible and vibrant live music scene.

Hue is a heritage city, but Hue’s cultural strength does not lie solely in its citadel, palaces, royal tombs, or historic architecture. Behind these tangible forms of heritage lies a vibrant world of music, festivals, beliefs, traditional crafts, cuisine, clothing, and folk knowledge. This is the ‘soul’ that gives Hue its distinctive identity.

Beyond a celebration of Hue Beef Noodle, the iconic dish of the Ancient Capital, the Hue - Culinary Capital 2026 program has become a vibrant showcase of culinary excellence from across Vietnam. From Hue’s traditional flavors to regional specialties from every corner of the country, each food stall and every dish tells a story of Vietnam’s rich cultural identity, taking visitors on a journey that awakens all their senses.

Beyond generating a steady income for residents, the vibrant chrysanthemum gardens also pave the way to promote a model of community-based tourism tied to the unique landscape of Tam Giang Lagoon.

In recent days, the road leading to Ha Cang, now part of Dan Dien Commune (formerly Quang Phu Commune), has been busier than usual, as streams of visitors arrive to explore local golden cantaloupe farms. On June 3, at Ly Tu Trong Park in Thuan Hoa Ward, Hue City Department of Health, in coordination with the City’s Association for the Protection of Children’s Rights, the Social Work and Child Protection Center, together with various units, organizations, and benefactors, organized the “Festival for children in special circumstances 2026”.
