From her journey to revive the craft of making dó (poonah) paper in the raw material area in the North, Ms. Tran Hong Nhung, the founder of Zó Project, has brought the story of dó paper and beeswax to Hue through hands-on experiences. Here, the craftsmanship techniques of the Dao Tien people are introduced and tested for integration into contemporary life.

On December 24, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Tran Huu Thuy Giang conducted an inspection of housing construction for people under the “Quang Trung Campaign”, the allocation of resettlement land for households in landslide-prone areas, and the processing of administrative procedures in the communes, including Khe Tre, Nam Dong, and Long Quang (part of formerly Nam Dong District).

From December 5th to 7th, at UK Academy Hue, the Department of Education and Training (DOET) organized training sessions on digital transformation in teaching, assessment, and school management, focusing on the use of the LMS360 system and the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in educational activities.

On the morning of December 1st, the Department of Education and Training (DOET) presented Certificates of Merit to the following schools: Gia Hoi High School, Huong Vinh High School, Dang Tran Con High School, Ly Tu Trong Secondary School, Phu Binh Primary School, and Ngo Kha Primary School, for effectively carrying out flood prevention and post-flood recovery efforts during the recent flooding events.

On the afternoon of November 17, Hue Central Hospital (HCH) held a discharge ceremony for pediatric patient Nguyen Tuong V., 2 years old - the recipient in the hospital’s fifth liver transplant performed entirely by its own team of doctors. This achievement marks a significant milestone, affirming the hospital’s ability to master the entire liver transplant process - from organ retrieval and liver splitting to transplantation and post-operative care.

After many years of sustaining their lives through regular blood transfusions, many pediatric patients suffering from congenital hemolytic anemia (Thalassemia) have now found the “light at the end of the tunnel” thanks to hematopoietic stem cell transplantation at Hue Central Hospital. From these successful transplant cases, a door of hope has opened, bringing the children a healthy, normal life and complete joy after so many difficult days.

The Co Tu people in hamlet 5, Nam Dong commune (merged from Huong Xuan, Thuong Nhat and Huong Son communes) still call Village Elder Tran Dinh Lua (72 years old) the “living treasure” of their village. To this day, he is one of the few remaining people who preserve the sacred sound of the gong that has been intertwined with generations of the Co Tu people.

On September 18, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation of Phu Xuan Ward, in collaboration with the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center (Hue Central Hospital) organized the first session of the Voluntary Blood Donation Day in 2025.

On the afternoon of September 8, Hue Central Hospital held a discharge ceremony for pediatric patient Vu Quynh C. (6 years old, from Bac Ninh), who had just successfully undergone an allogeneic bone marrow transplant to treat Thalassemia. This was the hospital’s 11th Thalassemia bone marrow transplant, and notably the first case in Vietnam using marrow donated by the patient’s biological mother.

On August 25, the Steering Committee for Voluntary Blood Donation of Hoa Chau Ward in coordination with the Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center of Hue Central Hospital organized the “Voluntary Blood Donation Day” festival.
