On March 28, the University of Foreign Languages, Hue University hosted the Korean Language and Culture Festival 2026 in Central Vietnam - a gathering for Korean language training institutions across the region.

A ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of Vietnam Sports Day (March 27th, 1946 – March 27th, 2026), organized by the Department of Culture and Sports, was held on the afternoon of March 27 at the City Culture and Cinema Center. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of the City People’s Committee, attended and extended congratulations and encouragement.

On the morning of March 25, Hue Tourism College (under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism) held its graduation ceremony in 2026.

As Hue undergoes a strong transformation toward a sustainable heritage - culture - tourism urban model, developing the night-time economy has become a practical necessity. The question, then, is how Hue should approach the night-time economy in a way that is both effective and civilized, while still preserving the “essence” of an Ancient Capital.

On the morning of March 20, at Phu An Secondary School, Hue City Association for the Protection of Children’s Rights, in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports, organized the “Happiness for Children” communication program in response to the International Day of Happiness. The event drew the participation of representatives from various departments and agencies, local authorities, the school’s leadership board, parents, and 50 pairs of parents and students.

On March 12, Hue City Department of Culture and Sports announced that Hue City Relic Dossier Appraisal Council (the Council) held a meeting to review scientific dossiers proposing the classification and adjustments of the protection zones for relics in the city.

On the afternoon of March 6, Hue Tourism College (under the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism) held a conference on career guidance and enrollment for 2026. Attending the event were representatives of state management agencies, 51 high schools and secondary schools, as well as businesses and organizations involved in training and human resource development.

On the afternoon of March 5th, Hue City People's Committee held its regular press conference for February 2026. The event was chaired by Chief of the Office of the City People’s Committee Hoang Viet Cuong; Deputy Director of the Department of Finance Tran Cong Thich Vuong; and Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports Nguyen Huy Hien. ​

Hue is a land once at the heart of the nation’s political power, culture, and scholarship; yet, today’s Hue is not merely looking back to the past. The city is quietly preparing for a major transformation, aiming to become Asia’s leading smart coastal heritage city by 2045.
