On the morning of August 30, Thuy Bieu Cooperative and Hue Specialty Co., Ltd. held a signing and handing over ceremony of Hue's thanh tra grapefruits.

In Thanh Thuy Ward, I met Minh, a 10-year-old boy in a Taekwondo uniform. Three years ago, he was a shy child, often sick and reluctant to communicate. But in the summer of 2024, his mother enrolled him in a nearby Taekwondo class. Is there anyone now who still sits at the bridge singing lullabies or folk songs about their village? They sing by will just for fun to introduce their village and their pretty bridge full of love. Such a thing merely happens at the Thanh Toan tiled-roof bridge in Thuy Thanh District, Huong Thuy Town.

I remember the first time I tried this dish was at the Thuy Bieu Thanh Tra Festival in 2022. Walking amidst the shimmering green and golden-yellow stalls of this special local fruit, I picked up a small bag of candied thanh tra peel before heading home. To this day, the flavor of that simple yet rustic treat lingers in my memory.
