This was the hospital’s 11th Thalassemia bone marrow transplant, and notably the first case in Vietnam using marrow donated by the patient’s biological mother.

This event not only marks a major advancement in medical expertise but also serves as vivid evidence of the tireless efforts of doctors and medical staff to provide better survival chances and quality of life for children with serious illnesses.

On the morning of July 8, Hue Central Hospital announced that the unit had discharged and celebrated the successful recovery of the 18th heart transplant patient, N.V.Q (42 years old), residing in Quang Ngai province.
