To celebrate the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025) and the success of the first Phong Phu Ward Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, the Phong Phu Ward People's Committee organized the first “Run for the Community” race in 2025 on the morning of August 31, with the theme “Phong Phu - Steps of aspiration”.

The inaugural Van Xa “Steps of Ancient Fragrance” Race 2025, organized by the People’s Committee of Huong Van Ward (Huong Tra Town), will be kicked off on the morning of April 27th. As of April 24th, over 2,000 runners have registered, making it the local race with the highest number of participants ever recorded.

Stage 9 from Truong Tien to Phu Xuan, part of the “United Homeland” cycling race for the 37th Ho Chi Minh City Television Cup 2025, kicked off on the morning of April 12 at Tu Tuong Park (Le Loi Street), following the award ceremony for athletes with top results in Stage 8 from Quang Binh to Hue City.

On the morning of March 22, the organizing board of the Phu Xuan and Thuan Hoa traditional boat race held an opening ceremony for the first traditional boat race in 2025 at Trinh Cong Son Park, Gia Hoi Ward (Phu Xuan District).

To celebrate the 94th anniversary of founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Hue City, and many other significant events of the homeland, the People's Committees of Phu Xuan and Thuan Hoa districts have issued plan No. 959 to organize the first traditional boat race in 2025.

On the afternoon of November 15, the leadership of Hue Central Hospital shared that its medical team successfully saved the life of a newborn with severe jaundice and hemolysis thanks to early diagnosis and a blood exchange transfusion procedure.

Such is the message of Hue Plogging 2024 event held at Thuan An beach on June 2nd. The event was organized by Hue - A City to Reduce Plastics in Central Vietnam project, funded by WWF-Norway (through the World Wide Fund for Nature in Vietnam, WWF-Vietnam, and received by the People's Committee of Hue City), in collaboration with Hue Urban Environment and Public Works Joint Stock Company (HEPCO). On the morning of March 9, the launching ceremony of the S-Race Thua Thien Hue running tournament for students, with the message "For the stature of Vietnamese", took place at the Noon Gate Square.
