From July 21st to 31st, Hue City Center for Disease Control organized a series of activities across local communities to implement the Action Plan of Hue City’s National Nutrition Strategy for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2045.

On the afternoon of July 31, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee and Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Van Phuong held a working session with the leaders of Kim Long Motor Hue Joint Stock Company regarding the progress of the Automobile Manufacturing and Assembly Complex Project in the Chan May - Lang Co Economic Zone, and discussed plans for investment expansion.

This is considered an important legal basis to implement sub-zone planning projects, urban embellishment, and attracting strategic investment, gradually transforming the economic zone into the southern development hub of Hue City.

With the support of the World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF - Vietnam), the project to develop the value chain of native medicinal plants in the Central Truong Son region, implemented by Green Alliance Company, has brought many positive results for local people and the community.

On July 11th, Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Hoang Hai Minh chaired a meeting of the Steering Committee of Luxembourg Projects to review project progress and provide directions and planning for the upcoming period. Co-chairing the meeting was Thomas Lammar, Temporary Representative of the Embassy of Luxembourg in Laos.

To develop the city towards the sea and foster regional links, Hue City has, in addition to effectively implementing its master plans, prioritized attracting and investing in major projects to complete its infrastructure, especially transport infrastructure, from central urban areas to satellite urban areas.

On June 23, the People’s Committee of Hue City announced that the Vietnam Urban Planning and Development Association (VUPDA) had just held the award ceremony for the 4th National Urban Planning Awards.

With a keen sense for crop transformation, Mr. Truong Minh Toan (Ka Tu village, Huong Phu commune, Phu Loc district) boldly chose to cultivate Bo Chinh ginseng, a “demanding” plant but one full of promise.

On the 10-acre field of red chiem rice (a traditional red rice grown in brackish lowlands of Hue City, sown by April and harvested by July), each planting season requires 40 to 50 hired laborers, and the harvest stretches over several days. Left untended and unfertilized, the rice grows naturally under the generous sun and rain. Some call it “heaven’s rice” — a variety grown from the grace of Tam Giang’s waters.

After more than four years of planning, preparation, and dedicated passion, Hue Culinary Association was officially launched on the evening of May 28. The initiative aims to build and elevate the culinary culture of Hue City, living up to its reputation as the “Culinary Capital of Vietnam.”
