Appearing during the revolutionary movement in 1940 in the South, the red flag with yellow star – a particularly sacred symbol of Vietnam– is closely associated with the Vietnamese People’s history of defence and preservation of national independence, as well as the renewal and development process, standing shoulder to shoulder with great powers across the five continents.

On the morning of April 26th, the People’s Committee of Phong My Commune, Phong Dien Town, officially launched the O Lau Upriver Ecotourism Site (Ham Heo). This community tourism site was previously recognized by the provincial government under Decision No. 954/QD-UBND dated March 28th, 2021.

In the festive atmosphere of the “Colors of Spring in the Highlands” celebration in A Luoi, amidst the “tung tung da da” dances and echoing gong sounds, I was fortunate to witness a special ritual of the Co Tu people - the An Ninh Pa Nua festival. This is one of their ancient traditional ceremonies, expressing the sacred feelings of the bride’s family toward the groom’s family after many years of being in-laws.

The inaugural Van Xa “Steps of Ancient Fragrance” Race 2025, organized by the People’s Committee of Huong Van Ward (Huong Tra Town), will be kicked off on the morning of April 27th. As of April 24th, over 2,000 runners have registered, making it the local race with the highest number of participants ever recorded.

Ngu My Thanh, a long-standing fishing village by Tam Giang lagoon (Quang Loi, Quang Dien, Hue City) has become well-known in the tourism community of the Ancient Capital, and it is recognized by the People’s Committee of Hue City as a community-based tourism destination.

In Da Lay commune (Da Teh district, Lam Dong province), the new homeland of the people from Hue today, it is hard to recognize the traces of the hardships from nearly half a century ago. The most recognizable feature in this rural area that carries "Hue far away" is the distinctive Hue accent, the conical hats of the elderly women glistening as they shield their kind smiles, and the lively mornings with loc and nam cakes. We arrived at the Da Lay market in the Central Highlands and felt as if we were back in Hue, enjoying street food and chatting at a corner of Dong Ba or An Cuu markets…

Although she has chosen a reclusive life on the edge of Thien An forest (Hue City), just as the saying goes, “good wine needs no bush,” many international tourists visiting Hue have asked travel companies to take them to meet People’s Artisan Hoang Thi Nhu Huy so that they can converse with her and gain a deeper understanding of Vietnamese culture.

After the country was reunified, the Pioneering Youth force transitioned to a new mission: overcoming the consequences of war and contributing to economic development. In response to the revolutionary call at that time, Binh Tri Thien Province and Hue City established two Pioneering Youth regiments tasked with surveying, building roads, clearing land, and constructing homes to welcome thousands of families from Hue to settle in the southern regions and establish new Hue communities far from home. Among the many resettlement programs, one new homeland for Hue people was founded nearly half a century ago: the Huong Lam New Economic Zone (NEZ), now part of Da Lay Commune, Da Huai District, in the southern part of Lam Dong Province…

Over more than 67 years of construction and development, Hue University has become a center for training high-quality human resources for the Central - Central Highlands Region and the entire country. Hue University is also an indispensable part of the culture of Hue, a sacred land with extraordinary people - a cradle that nurtures intelligence and talent.
