On May 14th in Hue, the Journalism Professional Training Center under the Vietnam Journalists Association, in coordination with the city’s Journalists Association, organized a specialized training course titled “Applying Artificial Intelligence and Automation in Multimedia Content Production” for more than 40 reporters, editors, and communications officers. Attending the event was Ms. Nguyen Thi Phuong Nam, journalist, Chairwoman of the city’s Journalists Association and Deputy Director of Hue Newspaper and Radio-Television Station.

The artwork “Whispers” by Nguyen Thi Thu Huyen, a student from the University of Arts, Hue University, has recently been honored as an outstanding work at the 8th “Hue Young Fine Arts Award” 2026.

Hue chess has long been renowned for its famous female players, such as Nguyen Thi Thuan Hoa, Hoang Thi Bao Tram, Hoang Thi Nhu Y, and Vo Thi Kim Phung, etc. After these outstanding players retired or moved to compete for other localities, Hue chess recently received good news at the beginning of 2026 as 18-year-old Nguyen Ha Khanh Linh was awarded the title of FIDE Master by the World Chess Federation.

Such is the title of a book recently released by Thuan Hoa Publishing House in late March 2026. The more than 20 articles included in the book are the result of a dedicated process of research, documentation, and fieldwork by its two authors, Nguyen Duc Loc and Le Thi Mai An (currently working at the Hue City Museum of History).

The 2026 National Short Course (25m pool) Swimming and Finswimming Championships officially kicked off on the morning of April 5th at Hue City Sports Center (2 Le Quy Don) in Hue, featuring many outstanding swimmers such as Nguyen Huy Hoang, Vo Thi My Tien, Thuy Hien, Pham Thanh Bao, and Nguyen Quoc, … the tournament promises intense, high-level competition with the potential for multiple new national records.

On the afternoon of March 5th, Hue City People's Committee held its regular press conference for February 2026. No one has captured the Vietnamese sense of living away from one’s homeland better than poet Nguyen Khoa Diem when he wrote: “They carry the names of their communes and villages on every migration journey.” In the highland city on the Lang Biang Plateau, this sentiment holds true as well. On the Lantern Festival (the Full Moon of the First Lunar Month) more than 15 years ago, the most “pure Hue native” friend I know, architect Nguyen Trong Huan, and I put on thin raincoats and walked together through the light, drifting drizzle to search for Hue’s culinary specialties. Having lived in this city for many years, Huan still longed for the flavors he once tasted.

Since 2017, Ms. Nguyen Thi Dieu Hanh, Head of the Biology Department at Quoc Hoc - Hue High School for the Gifted, has been tirelessly seeking “seeds”, nurturing and guiding generations of students onto the International Biology Olympiad arena, contributing to the prestige of the century-old school.

From a modest family yard to a Hue yellow apricot garden spanning thousands of square meters, the journey of Mr. Nguyen Phi Truong (Quang Dien), a 9X businessman, is not only a successful youth startup story but also a testament to the momentum of modern agricultural thinking in the digital era.
