On the morning of February 11 (December 24th in the Year of the Snake), at the courtyard of the Thai Hoa Palace (Hue Imperial Citadel), the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre organized a reenactment of the Nguyen Dynasty’s Imperial New Year court ceremony. The event attracted large numbers of local residents and visitors, helping to recreate the traditional Lunar New Year atmosphere within the historic royal court setting.

On the morning of February 10th (the 23rd day of the twelfth lunar month of the Year of the Snake), under fine weather conditions, Hue Monuments Conservation Center reenacted the ceremony of setting up Neu pole (Thuong Tieu ceremony) in strict accordance with royal court rituals of the Nguyen Dynasty. The activity was part of Hue Festival 2026, attracting large numbers of locals and visitors to observe and experience the event, recreating the atmosphere of the traditional Tet holiday in the former Royal Palace.

“Thuan Hoa is a local publishing house, but not merely a local one, as Hue is a long-established historical and cultural center of the country and is also the one being internationally recognized. Therefore, from the very beginning, the publishing house has strived to produce works worthy of the historic land of Thuan Hoa,” Dr. Nguyen Duy To, Director of Thuan Hoa Publishing House, quoted the late journalist Hoang Tung, former Secretary of the Party Central Committee, when addressing the functions and development orientation of Thuan Hoa Publishing House at a friendly gathering marking its 45th anniversary (1981-2026), held on the morning of February 10.

At an age when many children are still learning basic letters and arithmetic, Nguyen Ha Bao Ngoc, a student from class 3/6 at Le Loi Primary School (Hue City), has left many adults in awe with a remarkable collection of nearly 90 medals, trophies, and awards across multiple fields, earned at domestic and international competitions.

On the afternoon of February 9, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, visited and extended Tet greetings to several policy beneficiaries and social protection beneficiaries in Thuan Hoa Ward.

On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026, at noon on February 6th, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, Member of the Party Central Committee and Secretary of Hue City Party Committee, led a delegation of the City Party Committee to visit, offer incense in remembrance, and extend Tet greetings to veteran revolutionaries, former city leaders, and people with meritorious service to the revolution in the area.

On the morning of February 5, at the Secret Affairs Institute - Tam Toa Complex (No. 33 Tong Duy Tan Street, Phu Xuan Ward), Hue Monuments Conservation Center officially opened a thematic exhibition titled “Horses and the Long Ma in Nguyen Dynasty Royal Culture” (Long Ma: dragon-horse), offering the public a culturally rich and profound exhibition space in the early days of Lunar New Year.

On February 3rd, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh held a courtesy meeting and working session with Mr. Oh Jungtaek, Acting Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Da Nang, who paid a visit to Hue on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Horse 2026.

On the morning of February 3, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan, Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, and Chairman of Hue City People's Committee, received representatives from various religious organizations, who visited the city leaders on the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026), and extended traditional Tet greetings, and celebrated the success of the 14th National Party Congress.

On the morning of January 31st, the Bank for Investment and Development of Vietnam (BIDV) provided Tet gifts for residents of Hue City through Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee (VFFC) of Hue City. Ms. Nguyen Thi Ai Van, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee and Standing Vice Chairwoman of Hue City VFFC, attended the handover ceremony.
