The 5th Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day 2026, with the message “Books - Knowledge - Aspiration for National Development”, organized by Hue City Department of Culture and Sports, officially opened on the morning of April 21st at Hue City Library (29A Le Quy Don Street, Thuan Hoa Ward).

From April 17 to 19, at the Banking Academy in Hanoi, the Ministry of Education and Training, in collaboration with the Central Committee of Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), organized the 8th National Startup Day for students in 2026.

The launching ceremony of the “All people practice physical exercise following the example of the great Uncle Ho” campaign; the Olympic Run Day “For Public Health - For National Security”; and the opening of the 34th Traditional cross-country Race 2026 – an event of the 10th City Sports Festival, took place on the morning of March 22nd at Nghinh Luong Dinh Pavilion.

In celebration of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (March 26, 1931 - March 26, 2026), the 51st anniversary of Hue’s Liberation Day, and the successful election of deputies to the National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term, many schools across the city have organized vibrant activities, fostering a spirit of enthusiasm in learning and self-improvement among students.

Along with nearly 76,5 million voters nationwide, close to one million voters in Hue City have just joyfully taken part in the Election Day on March 15th, 2026, achieving an outstanding result: 99,99% voter turnout in the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term. Beyond the turnout figure, what stands out is the widespread joy and excitement across all regions, as well as the confidence and hope of people from all walks of life placed in a streamlined government, one with sufficient capability and strength to lead the country into a new era of prosperity, civility, and happiness. This morning (March 15), along with voters across the country, voters in Hue headed to the polls to participate in the Election for deputies to the 16th National Assembly of Vietnam and members of the People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.

In the joyful atmosphere of the national election day, from early morning members of the Standing Committee of Hue City Party Committee went directly to polling areas to exercise their civic rights and responsibilities, while also inspecting and monitoring the organization of the election across the city.

With systematic, coordinated, and well-organized preparations, Hue City is now ready for the election of the deputies to the 16th National Assembly and members of People’s Councils at all levels for the 2026–2031 term. Regarding the key tasks in the final stage before the Election Day, a reporter from Hue Today Newspaper spoke with Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Hue City People’s Committee, and Vice Chairman of the Hue City Election Committee.
