Amid the bustling rhythm of urban life, I love taking a long pause to enjoy the slow and steady pedaling of Hue’s cyclo drivers. There, although I deeply sympathize with the hard work of these men, who are the breadwinners of their families, in turn, it also reminds me of the strangely peaceful feeling of Hue.

Nurturing a dream from childhood memories, Nguyen Van He has brought his artistic vision to life on Kim Son Hill in the village of Kim Son (Thuy Bang Ward, Thuan Hoa District). Here, his unique creation, a giant airplane model, has captivated visitors with its remarkable presence.

“Can Vuong Tremendous Spirit” was a program held by Hue Monuments Conservation Center in collaboration with Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities, and Ham Nghi Secondary School on January 1 at the exhibition space “Emperor Ham Nghi: Life and Arts” at Hue Museum of Royal Antiquities. Attending the program were 130 students from Ham Nghi Secondary School and Quoc Hoc Hue High school for the Gifted.

"I want each of my works not only to be beautiful but also to tell a story about Co Tu people, their life, their beliefs and their traditional values left behind by their ancestors,” said Pham Van Ve, a 26-year-old man with a passion for portraying his ethnic identity through wood carving.

On December 20th, the Provincial Employment Service Center, in collaboration with the Action to the Community Development Center (ACDC), organized a job fair for people with disabilities (PWD) under the theme “Opportunities for Everyone”. This event is part of the Inclusion 1 project, funded by USAID, which aims to improve the quality of life for people with disabilities in areas heavily affected by Agent Orange during the war.

Held from December 13 to 15, the 19th National Cardiovascular Congress, with the theme “Cardiology in the New Era: The Path to the World,” is hosted by Thua Thien Hue. On December 12, the People’s Committee of Hue City held a ceremony to award prizes and open the exhibition of the photo contest “Hue Traditional Crafts - the Lifeblood of Heritage” 2024.

The photo exhibition themed “Life of the lotus” by Nguyen Khoa Huy, the photographer, is being displayed at Hue City Center for Culture, Information and Sports (23 - 25 Le Loi Street), from November 26 to December 10, 2024.
