On the afternoon of July 17, Hue City Department of Home Affairs held a mid-year review conference on promoting overseas employment under labor contracts in conjunction with the operation of the two-tier local government model.

After nearly a decade of sustained cooperation with Kanto International Senior High School in Tokyo, Japan, Hai Ba Trung High School in Hue City has developed a meaningful model of international exchange. Through classroom lessons, experiential activities, charity programmes and homestays in Japan, students from both countries have not only deepened their understanding of each other’s cultures but also broadened their intercultural awareness, strengthened their appreciation of cultural identity and fostered friendship between Vietnam and Japan.

More than just a place serving authentic dishes from the Ancient Capital, Hue Thuong restaurant in the heart of Osaka, Japan, has become a familiar gathering place for Hue natives living far from home. Through every delicately prepared dish, the restaurant preserves and shares the cultural values and culinary essence of Hue.

The visit and working trip of the delegation from Nara Prefecture, Japan, to Hue is expected to create new opportunities for cooperation, further strengthening the friendship between the two localities as well as between Vietnam and Japan.

On the afternoon of June 3, Vice Chairman of Hue City People’s Committee Ha Van Tuan had a courtesy meeting with Mr. Hiroshi OMURA, Director of Shizuoka City Environment Bureau, and a delegation from Shizuoka City (Japan), during their visit and working trip in Hue.

In the context of the increasingly extensive development of Vietnam-Japan relations, local cooperation has become an important driving force that fosters strong and lasting ties between the two countries. For Hue - Vietnam’s unique heritage city - Japan is not only a partner in economy, trade, and tourism, but also a special companion in the journey of cultural exchange, people-to-people engagement, and sustainable development rooted in heritage values.

On September 10, Chairman of Phu Xuan Ward People’s Committee Nguyen Viet Bang chaired the official and courtesy meeting with Kyoto Environmental Activities Association (KEAA) - Japan, led by Mr. Tatsuro Niikawa, KEAA’s Chairman.

A team of experts from Japan, in collaboration with the Faculty of History (University of Sciences, Hue University), is conducting a survey of the Thanh Loi National Relic Site, located in Thuy Xuan Ward, Hue City.

Hue and Nara, both are former Ancient Capitals of Vietnam and Japan respectively, are strengthening their cooperative ties amid a global trend shifting toward “local cooperation for global benefit”. This marks the emergence of a new, profound model of partnership, rooted in concrete development goals that place people and heritage at the center.

On July 7, Hue College held a ceremony to sign cooperation agreement with the Global Association for Human Resources Training in Early Childhood Education in Japan.
