On October 9th, the Department of Planning and Investment held a working session with the delegation from the Vietnam Business Association in Japan (VJBA) to explore investment opportunities in Thua Thien Hue.

On the morning of October 4, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in collaboration with the Department of Planning and Investment and the Provincial Business Association held a conference titled “Building and developing a new generation of entrepreneurs”.

Most public investment projects in the locality witness the acceleration of the construction progress of necessary items before the rainy season. This is an important factor to ensure the progress of disbursement procedures in the coming time.

Hue City People's Council has agreed to add the construction project for a pedestrian and bicycle bridge over An Cuu River (a Y-shaped bridge) to the overall adjusted medium-term public investment plan for 2021-2025.

Recently, Thua Thien Hue has been particularly focused on attracting investment into industrial clusters.

According to experts, the number of tourists choosing golf tourism products is growing rapidly, illustrating the potential for developing this industry. Hue is making efforts to call for investment, while at the same time, deploying many solutions to attract high-end tourists of this category.

It is undeniable that investment promotion activities are making great strides in recent times, but investment promotion activities also need to be adjusted to be more consistent with planning and development orientations of the province.

Investment promotion plays an extremely important role, contributing to attracting investment capital; forming industrial and export processing zones to serve the manufacturing of exports. With a favorable geographical location, open investment attraction policies, gradually refined mechanisms and policies for socio-economic development, etc., Thua Thien Hue has become an attractive destination for domestic and foreign investors.

On July 19th, the Provincial Urban Development and Investment Management Board held a seminar to announce the 1/2000 scale subdivision planning project for Thanh Tien ecological urban area (EUA).

The “Romantic features in the ancient village”painting contest, organized by the project supportingViet Nam’s social impact business ecosystemin response to COVID-19 (ISEE-COVID) in collaboration with the Department of Planning and Investment, is currently running from June 30th to July 13th, 2024, at Phuoc Tich ancient village, Phong Hoa commune, Phong Dien district.
