The first annual boat racing event of Thuy Thanh commune (Huong Thuy town) kicked off on the morning of August 30th on Nhu Y River (at the community tourism spot of Thanh Toan Tiled-Roof Bridge), marking the start of a series of activities to celebrate numerous important local events.

Along with Bach Ho Bridge, which is a railroad bridge, and Thao Long Bridge, with the architectural structure of a bridge at the top and a dam below to prevent salinity at the bottom, there is a total of seven bridges over the Huong River, namely Truong Tien Bridge, Phu Xuan Bridge, Da Vien Bridge, Tuan Bridge, and Dinh Market Bridge.

The flowing ao dai inspired by the Huong River - the poetic and renowned river of Hue, and perhaps the most beautiful in Vietnam - have been elegantly showcased by models to the backdrop of music, sometimes serene, sometimes lively, taking the audience through a range of emotions.

That was the topic of a seminar, which was organized at the Intercultural meeting place (at 94, 96, and 98 Bach Dang Street, Hue City) on the morning of July 29 by the Huong River Museum of Antique Pottery.

It is the Huong River, the river that "embraces Hue in its heart", which is also a priceless gift that nature has dedicated to this place. The Huong River is magnificent from the upstream, with a peaceful beauty and full of poetry as it confluences and hugs around gardens and villages such as Kim Long, Nguyet Bieu, Vy Da, Gia Hoi, Bao Vinh, and Sinh village, etc. And then, before pouring water into the sea, the downstream river area is a place to make a living, which is hard but close and dear to the locals.

The “Dancing - Ao dai by the Huong River” program took place at the park area of Nha Ken, next to Truong Tien Bridge (Le Loi Street, Hue City) on the afternoon of July 12, officially ended the Hue Community Ao dai Week 2023 organized by the Department of Culture and Sports.

On the evening of June 10th, the Song Huong (Perfume River) Magazine launched a poetry and painting performance program titled “Perfume River - A River of Poetry” to commemorate its 40th anniversary since its establishment and first issue (June 1983 - June 2023).

It turns hot when summer comes. Despite the fierce heat of the sun in Central Vietnam, the land of Huong River and Ngu Mount offers various fruits and flowers to serve tourists that remind those away from home.

The recent prolonged hot weather has led to a significant number of people heading to Huong River, the section that flows through the center of Hue City, to cool off and beat the heat.

Although the Huong River is just located humbly in the area of Thua Thien Hue, this river is still full of beauty from being fierce in the sections of waterfalls in the upstream of the old forest to being gentle and fond when flowing through the delta. Just like that, the Huong River has been an indispensable part in the deep spiritual life of Hue people and Hue culture.
