German duo to perform in Hue

HNN.VN - As part of their tour in Vietnam, the concert duo consisting of cellist Reinhard Armleder and pianist Dagmar Hartmann from Germany will perform a concert at the Song Huong Theater of Hue Academy of Music on the evening of September 5th.

The program is organized by the German Embassy in Vietnam in collaboration with various partners and will be open to the public for free.

The concert is expected to feature classical music from different countries and eras, including works by Ludwig van Beethoven, Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, Robert Schumann, César Franck, Maurice Ravel, and Manuel de Falla.

In addition to Hue, the duo will also perform in Hanoi and Binh Duong as part of their efforts to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam.

According to the organizers, the Karlsruhe Concert Duo, consisting of cellist Reinhard Armleder and pianist Dagmar Hartmann, has been performing together since 1999. Not only have they won several international competitions, but they have also established themselves as a successful and sought-after duo both domestically and internationally.

They frequently receive high praise and captivates audiences with their profound and engaging performances, combined with excellent technique and imaginative programming. Their repertoire focuses on classical and romantic literature from the 20th century, with a particular interest in rediscovering lesser-known composers and works for duo performances. They are also dedicated to contemporary music, premiering works that resonate with them.

Having won first prize in numerous international competitions, the duo has toured more than 80 countries across all continents and has appeared on many prestigious stages and at major music festivals both at home and abroad.
