In 2020, when male officials and civil servants of the Department of Culture and Sports wore ao dai during working days and the weekly flag-raising ceremony, it immediately sparked controversy online. Then, it was not just the cultural sector, at important events, the provincial leaders (now Hue City) and intellectuals also began wearing ao dai. The appearance of the traditional ao dai for both men and women at cultural and educational events made the ceremonies more solemn, elegant, and impressive.

On July 30th, Hue City Department of Culture and Sports announced that Hue City People’s Committee has issued an official document approving the continuing of archaeological excavation of the remaining area approximately 200 square meters at Lieu Coc Twin Towers site (Kim Tra Ward, Hue City). The goal is to gain a comprehensive and complete understanding of the Lieu Coc temple-tower complex.

The 7-a-side Hue Premier League - Huda Cup 2025 (TPL-S5) kicked off on the afternoon of July 19 at Uyen Phuong Stadium (Tay Loc - Phu Xuan Ward). “It's time to look at reading in a broader manner in terms of getting knowledge and information. Reading is the event itself, helping the reader absorb new things,” said Truong Thi My Dung, chairwoman of Hue Book and Culture Club about reading for the time being.

This is the theme of the Family and Children's Day 2025, organized by the Department of Culture and Sports in coordination with Hue City’s Association for the Protection of Children's Rights, held on the evening of June 22.

A professional training course for swimming and diving instructors in Hue City is being held from June 16th to 20th at the Sports Center swimming pool. The course is jointly organized by the Department of Culture and Sports and Hue Help.

On June 2nd, the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue City announced that the 2025 Community Ao Dai Week will take place from June 6th to 15th, kicked off with a special art program titled “Hue Ao dai” at An Dinh Palace on the evening of June 6th.
