With its potential and advantages in natural resources, local culture, traditional craft villages, and agricultural and fishing livelihoods, regional zoning linked with eco-tourism and community-based tourism (CBT) development orientations will help promote sustainable tourism growth in Hue.

Rolling up their sleeves, preparing ingredients by hand, seasoning dishes and enjoying traditional specialties, many international visitors are discovering Hue’s culinary culture in the most intimate way possible.

While Hue Festival was previously held biennially, creating impressive “peak” moments yet remaining largely seasonal, with the model of a four-season Festival, Hue has now chosen a more sustainable direction: Turning culture and heritage into an ever-present rhythm within the city’s daily life.

The book series “Phan Thuan An and Hue” (Tri Thuc Publishing House), including three volumes - History of Hue, Culture of Hue, and Folktales of Hue - was introduced on April 26 through a collaboration between the author’s family and relevant organizations.
