Once being the Imperial Capital under the Nguyen Dynasty, Hue has undergone many historical phases, and today the city is regarded as one of Vietnam’s few cities where multiple architectural traditions coexist. It brings together folk, royal, colonial, and modern styles, developing in a way that balances the architecture, landscape, and culture, forming a distinctive urban identity.

Held for the first time in Hue City, the International Tea Festival - Hue 2025 (taking place from December 10th to 12th) not only contributes to honoring Vietnamese tea culture but also is expected to serve as an important starting point, laying the foundation for the formation of a profound cultural, artistic, and tourism-oriented annual event, helping enrich Hue’s identity and enhance its attractiveness.

Under the direction of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, Hue City People’s Committee, and Hue City Department of Tourism, the organizing unit - BamBoo Artists Agency - has introduced the large-scale Hue Mega Concert event series.

On the morning of November 30, at the Culture and Cinema Center, Hue City Health Department organized a rally to respond to the National Action Month for HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control, and World AIDS Day 2025.

“Vietnam Sports Administration (Ministry of Culture, Sports & Tourism) has just issued a decision to establish Vietnam Sports Delegation for SEA Games 33, in which Hue sports contributes 1 coach and 7 athletes,” said Bui Thanh Dung, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture & Sports on the afternoon of November 28th. ​

After more than a month of launching, the preliminary round of 2025 Reading Culture Ambassador Contest received over 19.700 entries from 132 primary, secondary, and high schools across Hue City.

Once considered “trendy” yet “hard to appreciate”, in recent years, the hobby of collecting artworks has become a familiar passion for many people, especially Hue people, who live in a land rich in culture and art.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism has issued a document requesting Hue City People’s Committee to prioritize funding and assign Hue Monuments Conservation Center to continue reviewing the areas along the walls of Hue Imperial Citadel that are at high risk of blowing off.

Mr. Van Dinh Huy, who was born in 1983, is currently working at Phu Bai Ward Police office. Even younger than Dinh Huy, Mr. Do Minh Dien, who was born in 1990, is currently an officer in the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue City. What they have in common is a strong passion for books, and up to now, each of them has built his own personal book collection. They are truly the “young gentlemen” who collect books in Hue.
